For the three days in a row the K2 having PPD (parents project day) and still on our lines of inquiry of healthy food rooting to the daily habits and routines (hygiene, sleep, play, eating)
Parents serving those healthy menu. On the first day, they cooked Bubur Manado (a mix blend of some vegetables such as: spinach, potato, kacang panjang, kangkung and slices of chicken) and Cap Cay (a stew of carrots, baby corn, sawi, crab and chicken). Second day, we have another special menus: Sup Asparagus and Omelet. And finally, or last day, comes out the special menu: sabu-sabu and nasi goreng.
We're hoping for the kid to understand about what is so-called healthy food. We asked them during the 'pot-luck', and some came out with the statement: I don't like the meat, because it's too hard (when they were eating the sabu-sabu) and most of them said that the love the vegetable so much because it's good for the body.
At first they kind of unfamiliar with bubur manado and sabu-sabu. The taste of bubur manado is so peculiar to their taste and so does with the sabu-sabu when the parents showing them the ingredients (a raw red meat, mushrooms and a mixed of vegetables - all are bowled)
But then, it is true about the love-at-the-second-sight thing, the food uprising their appetite :)
